Choosing a wedding videographer can be a stressful decision.

You want to find someone who will capture the most critical moments of your day, but you also want it to be affordable.

We get that not everyone will like our style, and we respect that! But for couples looking for something different, something more personal than traditional wedding videos...we're here for you! We value capturing real emotions through conversation and creating authentic stories about your love story. Our goal is to connect with people who aren't afraid of getting their clothes dirty or doing some hiking to get an epic shot; if this sounds like you, then keep reading!

At White Tiare Weddings, our focus is on connecting with adventurous couples who value the importance of videography and want to create something unique, raw & emotional rather than just "another wedding video."

Frequently Asked Questions

We know you have a ton of questions to ask. Read through these and click on the question to view the answer. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

+ What are your prices for your packages?

We like calling our packages "Collections". Our collections start at $3300 to $4600+ depending on what the couple wants. (Prices subject to change without notice.)

+ What’s your filming style?

We shoot 80% photo-journalistic candid style and 20% direction from us. We aim to capture emotions as it unfolds throughout the day with conversation between us and the couple. Our goal is to capture your natural interactions. Pure, raw and real.

+ What’s the difference between a “wedding video” and “wedding film”? I’m confused. What’s the difference?

The term “wedding video” is such a 90’s and 00’s description. What we create is far removed from the “wedding video” of old. We use state-of-the-art equipment, cinematic movement and composition, film industry standard colour grading, storytelling editing skills, and superior digital audio recording equipment. All of this makes the use of “wedding film” fully justified and far more accurate for what we create! The simple answer is that people search for the phrase “wedding video” so it needs to be in here somewhere, right?

+ How many cameramen do you use?

We film all of our weddings using multiple cameras, however, its always best to use two cameramen to get the best and the most footage possible. If your guest list is more than 100, it is required that we add a second shooter fee to your collection invoice.

+ So are you saying having two cameramen is better than one?

On your wedding day, there is so much happening so having two cameramen allows a more dynamic and complete wedding film. We are able to film both the bride and groom preparations, any photoshoots, guests enjoying themselves, and generally be in two places at one time. This approach gives you a more complete picture of the wedding day. It also allows us to use our full range of equipment for capturing those truly cinematic shots. The ceremony, speeches and special performances during the reception are filmed from multiple camera angles for a more polished final edit.

+ Do you film in High Definition (HD)?

Our cameras and high-end lenses give absolutely stunning HD results. All of our ‘Film Collections’ include delivery of your films as High Definition 1080p files via our online delivery platform or USB thumb drive (provided in certain collections).

+ Who films and edits the wedding film?

Well, it’s just us, that’s it. No ‘team’, no ‘crew’, no ‘weekender’ cameramen who have other jobs, no students. Your wedding film is far too important for us to entrust it to people not 100% invested in you and your day. So rest assured…it’s just us!

+ How much wedding coverage time do I need?

The film collections that we offer are listed in this pricing booklet starting on page 4. These are based around what 95% of our weddings require. To give you an idea, a 6 hour wedding would cover either the bride and groom preparation time to the ceremony OR the ceremony and reception. An 8 hour coverage would usually cover most of your wedding day from preparation before the ceremony up until the middle to end of the reception. And a 10 hour coverage covers everything from preparation before the ceremony to the send-off sparkler moment. Every wedding schedule is different, however, this gives you an idea of how much coverage is best for you.

+ Are the hours of coverage time consecutive or can they be split?

Coverage time must be consecutive. To try to be fair to our camera crew who are filming your wedding, we are not able to split coverage time.

+ What makes your wedding films different from others?

First off, there are a lot of amazing film makers out there in our wedding community. However, what we like to create is something more than the “average” wedding film. Its all about storytelling and documenting key moments. Everything from the details of getting ready to the table scapes to the bride opening a surprise gift from the groom, etc. Our goal is to allow our couples to relive their wedding day each and every time they watch their wedding film. And, yes, our couples usually shed a tear or two.

A “highlight film” shows off all of the highlights of your wedding day. These films come in two durations: short and medium in length. The “full-featured film” is the longest film we offer that is more of a documentary style film showing anything from aerial drone footage, major highlights, to when you have your final private last dance and sparkler send-off. We show almost every detail that happened on your wedding day.

Absolutely! You can go to our website and click on the “cinema” tab in the menu to view our amazing films.

+ What if there’s not enough light for my reception?

We offer two compact LED lighting solutions to light up your reception speeches, when you share each other your cake, to tossing the garter belt and floral bouquet. Lighting is a must and are only offered in our Tahiti and Moorea collections.

+ How do you deliver your wedding films?

We do both online download delivery and USB thumb drive. To cut costs, download delivery is provided only for the Moorea and Bora Bora Collection. All films for the Tahiti Collection will be delivered on a gorgeous crystal White Tiaré Weddings USB thumb drive.

+ How do we receive our wedding films?

Because we’re a “boutique” style wedding film business, we like to have our clients come to our studio so we can present their film on our big flat screen HD television. That way we can see your reactions and also spoil you with a glass of champagne and a light snack.

+ How long does it take to edit our wedding film?

The industry average is 3 months after your wedding date depending on which collection you purchased. However, there are times when we have delivered our film within a 2 -3 month period based on how busy we are for that month of weddings.

+ Do you offer aerial drone footage?

Yes, we do. As long as weather permits and your wedding venue is not located in a NFZ (No Fly Zone) or restricted air space. Drone footage is only filmed once we arrive at the venue and not during a ceremony that is conducted outdoors.

+ Do you offer expedited express turnaround editing?

Yes, we do offer this. Ask us for more information.

+ What if I book you at the last minute?

We charge a late booking fee of $500 if its within a 15 day booking or a late booking fee of $250 if its within a 30 day period. Last minute bookings are possible, however, please understand that we have to adjust our schedule to accommodate a last minute request.

+ Do you charge a travel fee?

If the venue is more than 25 miles radius of our studio, we charge a $35 travel fuel charge.

Absolutely! However, you may not upgrade from what you already purchased in your collection.

+ How do I book with White Tiaré Weddings?

The best way is to contact us either by phone or email. That way we can set up a time to discuss any questions you have regarding each collection and also to be sure we’re available on your wedding date.

+ Do you require a retainer/deposit?

We like to use the word “retainer”. The retainer is to hold your wedding date on our calendar and is non-refundable. We generally require a 40% retainer paid online only. The remaining balance is not due until 30 days prior to your wedding date.

+ Are you insured?

Yes. We are certified with the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and insured through Lockton Affinity. Our insurance covers our entire staff on the day of your wedding.

+ Do you accept gratuity/tips?

Like the cruise industry, we charge a pre-paid gratuity fee of $100 mainly because we always over deliver to our clients and go that extra mile to serve you. This includes the time it takes to coordinate with the wedding planner’s scheduling, the DJ,the wedding venue owners and conference calls to get any more information in creating your wedding film. You’re always welcome (but not required) to add more to this gratuity the day of the wedding before you both head off into the sunset.

+ What type of payment do you accept?

We accept any major credit cards that are in good standing. We only accept online credit card payments since we use an automated accounting service for our business. We also offer online payment plans to pay off your invoice before your wedding.

+ Do you work with wedding planners and other vendors in the wedding industry?

We definitely do. We have a list of preferred vendors that we’ve had some amazing experiences with over the years. Let us know where you’re at in the planning process so we can guide you in the right direction.

+ Do you have a preferred list of wedding photographers that you would suggest should we need a photographer?

We definitely do. We have a list of preferred vendors that we’ve had some amazing experiences with over the years. Let us know where you’re at in the planning process so we can guide you in the right direction.

+ Can I have my friend or relative film during the ceremony?

We believe in the term “Unplugged Wedding” where we encourage the officiant to announce “We want to see your face and not your devices. Please put away your mobile phones and personal devices until after we’re announced Mr. and Mrs.” By doing this, you’re allowing your photographer and cinematographer (video crew) to capture footage without having your guests’ cameras and mobile phones in front of their faces. Don’t you want to see their faces when you walk down the aisle, tears running down their faces full of emotion? Or would you rather see the back of their mobile phones covering their emotions? Remember, this is YOUR MOMENT! We encourage all of our couples to consider an “Unplugged Wedding” ceremony because your guests will be fully present during this special moment of your lives. However, your guests are always welcome to take as many photos and videos after the ceremony and especially during the reception.

+ I think I got everything covered but I might have a few more questions to ask. How can I get a hold of you?

You can always call, text or e-mail us. We’re more than happy to assist you in any way we can.
